He's become your best friend
and your feelings for him grow
You can tell him anything
and he won't grow cold
You care for him deeply
and can't see his pain
A pain that dwells deep inside
and falls with the rain
His love for you grows
with every waking day
Yet he knows it can't be
there just isn't a way
You have that special someone
and your love for him is deep
But now that you think about it
will that feeling keep
Things don't seem right
between your special someone and you
He was your first love
and you want to stay true
But whenever things go wrong
Your friend is there
He's there to help out
and he's there to care
His smile makes you happy
His happiness makes it true
You're always there for him
And he's always there for you
I have a friend I love
And a boyfriend who cares
I don't want to hurt either
I just want to be there
Author's Notes: Hmm... I have never posted this anywhere else before.
I won't elaborate the meaning.... only that the friend I speak of is farther into my life than he has ever been. And that special someone.... he's moved on. Or so he says
