River's Song

A glance back at the sun
Was enough to freeze my careless heart
A chance taken more than once
Has taught me the meaning of "distrust"
How long has it been
Since my soul has had its second sight
How deep was my sin
That I must now live in an endless twilight
Longing for the dawn to come
For a brighter light to pierce the darkness
For a lighter heart to steal the blackness
To hear your healing voice and song
I just need some time to heal
