Gone

The blood leaves my face
as Death's cold embrace
slowly removes him from this horrid place.
Leaving no trace
of his cruelty, nor his grace -
extracted completely from this, the human race.
Leave me alone,
for now that he's gone,
I see no reason for me to live on.
But, low and behold,
it's no longer cold!
It seems that this death caused new life to unfold!
And though it is bold,
I'll reach out to hold
your hand in mine until we both grow old.
For when I'm with you,
the memories are few,
and the pains hurt much less than they usually do.
Please don't leave me alone,
for now that he's gone,
you're the only reason that I have to live on.
Author's Notes: Just a random poem I wrote...i got bored and started thinking about a bunch of stuff that was on my mind, and somewhere along my train of thought came the inspiration.....though I'm not sure how it came to be.......or what it was for that matter!! xD
