For my little Angels

Age Group: Adult
Once as a child I roamed
free and wild
with no worries and never
knowing real pain.
Finding happiness in even the
smallest things.
When a kiss from mom
or a hug from dad
made the night terrores
go away, to blowing out candles
and family being family
and knowing it would always
be that way.
growing and learning,
we all make mistakes.
Then it was my turn to be mom,
and the nightmares returned.
My babies so wild so beautiful
and free.
In their inocent eye's, they
should see nothing but
beauty.
My angels so youthful, and
have already had to see so much
hate and pain.
The one who hurt us, I know
I will never be able to explain.
But no matter what I swear to
the lord and lady
I will never alow it to be
the same.
I have set us free
i have given us the chance
to spread our wings.
Although you will probably never
understand.
I will know,
when your blowing out
candles and seeing only beauty
and happiness in everything.
Though my nightmares may
never go away, we togeather are
family and will always be here to stay.
