Not Alone

I walk in the darkness of night
no light to guide me
I walk a twisted path through brambles and thorn
hot pain swarms all around me
I gaze at the moon with tear on my cheek
a breeze rises all around me
I look to the ground and softly cry
a song starts to surround me
I hold my head as doubts swim around
your voice whispers secrets to me
My eyes grow wide as I look upon you
your smile comforts and calms me
i ask "Lady what should my purpose me?"
your answer surprises me
"Follow your heart and know I am with you."
you lean down and kiss me
I walk in night but no longer dark
your light there to guide me
I walk my twisted path through bramble and thorn
but no pain can ever touch me
