The Magic is -

A magic, which ensures that tears get shed,
Adds a sacredness to our beloved:
I still love that pet. Yet, his patterned coat,
The spot on his forehead, all seem - remote!
Stretching my memory, I know not where
That charm is, of father's crown of gray hair.
There are charms which memory does not catch,
Nor do photos and the person quite match.
That mysterious beauty is missing,
Which made the lady worthy of kissing.
Truly a mystery, you know not why,
Remembering someone, you cry, and cry!
Maybe a whole, more than the sum of parts,
Is behind the agony of your heart.
I do think that enchantment, well above
And beyond the facts, gives birth to true love!
The finest photography, it is plain
To see, and perhaps science is in vain.
Enchantment, an elusive butterfly,
Shall not be captured! May we laugh and cry.
The magic is - truth, by our hearts revealed,
Enchantment on the blossoms of the field.
