A Sonnet in Defense of Lady Luna

How great it is, to witness the full moon
And take it as just cause to celebrate!
Are you asking, "What makes the moon so great?"
If you must ask, then you are out of tune!
This beauty beyond words makes it a boon.
To me, preferring a primeval state
Of mind, the glory of full moons equates
To that of the Christ sundering the tomb.
Let Lady Luna live long, long to grant
Inspiration to the finest artists,
And to make us creative. She enchants,
An act far finer than just to exist.
With beauty beyond words, her full moonlight
Balances the mysterious, dark night!
