Born Witch

Oh Goddess, please help me to grow kinder,
To bind the wicked witch hiding in me,
In my unconscious mind. Because of her,
I can do harm, not willing that it be,
For blows which I got, but deserved to get.
There is a bad side to many good deeds.
May I work magic without the regret,
In strict accordance with the Wiccan Rede.
If I cannot get close without hurting,
Then may I stay away to prove my love,
A hard, but excellent way, of serving,
To spare others all which I am made of.
Thus Zeus destroyed his sweetheart by mistake,
With energy too strong for her to take.
