Pan!

Always I answer, okay, on hearing,
"How are you?" Okay means not exciting!
"Okay, same old" is for when you are dead.
Why not color my gray hair - flaming red!
Or reddish brown might work even better,
To make me cool, like an Irish Setter!
Why stop with dogs? I see my problem solved
In going as wild as - the land of wolves!
I surely would become the A-one man,
Dropping mere manhood, to turn into - Pan!
I could be whatever, to anyone!
A god to worship, or a fit of fun,
A side of sugar and a side of spice,
A side of virtue and a side of vice,
A god to praise and a demon to curse,
A man to follow and a child to nurse,
A prince of love, an animal of lust,
Chasing the nymphs to the brink of disgust,
Piping enchantingly his magic flute,
A side of ugly and a side of cute,
Making the ladies secretly go, "Wow!
What a mix, bad and good, just like A Chow!"
