Mating Vows

May this be remembered as we two join:
To honor both sides of each other's coin.
Thus, through our union, how we will bring
Together just a bit of - everything!
I have my one side of the merry laugh
Over treasuring what blessings I have,
And on my other side longing anguish
For ideal objects of my idle wish.
Let it be yours. May you in turn redeem
The coin with a life like a magic dream!
And your coin? Its one side so entices!
Is the other side teaming with vices?
Let it be mine, in turn to be redeemed
For many enchantments, like lunar beams!
