Odd Animal!

Age Group: Adult
Even if we try, we cannot crawl long.
We are designed to stand. Only briefly
Do we approach a bird's instinctive song.
We are designed to choose, often wrongly!
Yet we need reason. How else could we choose?
We can seek answers from a set of stones,
But we cannot get them without the use
Of reason on ambiguous unknowns.
Yet I know Reason as no ideal god;
I pay him no homage, though I must think.
I seek the Divine Voice beyond the odds,
And bond to Nature with a priceless link.
Life! You are instinctive! To know you well,
May we seek those truths which our hearts may tell.
