Age Group: Adult
To have the magic to work well the spell
To free the man in the moon from his cell!
He lives in yearning, like a caged in dog
That would chase wild geese through grasslands and bogs.
He gazes from behind the starlight beams,
Until at last he passes into dreams.
He dreams of kissing maidens, as boys do
When the innocence plainly is all through.
We often ponder all our misfortune,
But in the eyes of the man in the moon,
Life is beautiful, worth risking bad stuff.
He wishes that his face, rocky and rough,
Were like ones he sees, so smooth and so clear.
He sighs, "I wish I could run like the deer!"
Poor man in the moon! My heart reaches out!
Yes! This is what magic wands are about.
