Thank You, Oh Muse!

Speaking of ideals which I am seeking,
Poems count! Spiritually speaking,
My mother is the Muse of Poetry.
As her child, she nurtured me with beauty
Beyond vanity, and all the ideals.
Poetry, itself an ideal, reveals
Beauty in and beyond the commonplace,
Expressing it with the uncommon grace
Of lines magically ending in rhyme,
Seemingly against all odds! It refines
So much the way we think. It gives us drive
To face tribulations, thus to survive!
Although our attitude is pick and choose,
All poetry is a gift from the Muse.
All poets, in their own ways, aspire high
To some level which science would deny.
Oh my maternal Muse! Thank you so much!
You give this feel for what we cannot touch.
