Alpha and Omega

To start with there was the all-inclusive,
To which we return when we wisely live.
But first, loving the ego, we divide
All into selfhood, and selfhood denied
To stupidity and what we call vice,
Until the price is paid in sacrifice.
After that, Insight comes and we unite:
The darkness again dances with the light!
The dance is Harmony, when all things share
Not merely how they contrast, but compare.
So they all celebrate diversity,
Every thing content with its own beauty!
To end with there is the all-embracing,
When we learn the giving and forgiving.
