Let Beauty Be!

Old Mother Earth has so many faces,
Of the cheetahs, with their speedy graces,
Hyenas, with the power of their jaws,
The clever bears, with their powerful paws,
Rhinos, with charging horns on their noses,
Elephants, with their mutual closeness,
Horses, which we should not have left behind,
Octopi, invertebrates with quick minds,
Whales, to move Poseidon with their singing,
Thrushes, to the tropics yearly winging -
Pick your favorite and continue on!
Could all these beautiful faces be gone,
Maybe in a couple of decades? Yes,
Due to the effects of our selfishness!
Yes, even the common face of the deer,
For all of life on Earth could disappear!
To kill a Goddess! Infamous honor!
But what other then will be a donor
To us, of such abundant blessings? None,
Because our story also will be done!
Oh man, changing the face of Goddess Ge,
Improve your own nature! Let Beauty be!
