The New Choice

This god may well prefer to raise the sun
Over a wilderness, but he no less
Raises it over points which all can see
And, day by day, bit by bit, he changes
The point of ascension until someone
Notices the noticeable shifting.
The word spreads. Now others start witnessing
The Miracle of Divine Ascension!
This is a god who wants to be worshipped
By many people, from the very start!
That other god wanted his own arrest
And crucifixion. Now the choice is ours.
I myself rather seek some wilder place
To worship in awe, as the sun gets raised!
