A True Deity!

The face of Pan is awesome, like a star
With the two, upward points much like his horns
And the downward point like his pointed beard!
Pan has the incorruptible goodness,
Divinity, of a true deity,
And being like Pan or being like man,
Whose virtues get corrupted by reason,
Is the matter behind what should be done.
Pan is the God of Smiles, always smiling
As he pipes his music in major keys,
To keep step with the dancing of the bees.
When the world looks down on us with a frown,
Pan's notes are the sound of the sound conscience.
His smiles are of the humor of the Earth,
And they teach us to uphold our self-worth.
May we dance to Pan's tunes in major key!
