Age Group: Adult
If life has paths of ugliness, I have not known them.
The brilliant flowers always showed my way.
If life has days of bitterness, I have not lived them,
For only beauty flowed to fill my day.
And in the tiny spurt of time this body claims,
My mind has sought but more to see and know.
So, peaceful shall I pass to seek again,
When this life's flesh is bade to go.
And so it is with all that is around us.
Changing day by day but always still the same.
Beginning and then ending but only in the name
That we have given for an added flourish
On the claim of what we see.
Yet sight can never tell us what is gone or is to be.
Thus we deign that only now is real and shall be gone.
Not knowing all things change and still go on
In other shapes and forms we think are new.
And these things are those we thought were through.
These things are me and I am you.
