The Little Room
by Radko Vacek
Age Group: Adult
Yes, the stained glass windows on bright mornings
Are some sight, crowning the sanctuary,
Like the full moon crowning the vast ocean.
Yet, I love more the little room within!
How could I so, you ask. How like a tomb
It seems to you, a place reflecting gloom,
With little light shining through the plain glass.
This little room is ever so special,
Like the peaceful retiring of vastness
Into a small space, a pebble on shore
Hidden in the darkness of the dark moon!
The magic of the little room within
Is like the power of a scoop of Earth,
From which the story of a sprout begins.
To me, the little room is no coffin,
But like a cradle for a life to live.
