Vector, to Which Star?
by Radko Vacek
Age Group: Adult
That star, five light-years there? What does it mean?
I know the science, but I don't get it.
Winning millions hardly makes life serene,
So really, it's better to forget it.
The same holds true for stars. I rather know
A star up close, that's personal to me.
More has diminishing returns to show.
Good enough is what moves us all to be.
Would you be a star in my life, my friend?
You know my nickname's Trouble. Would you stay
Beside me nevertheless, to defend,
If I orbit around you, and not stray?
The choice is mine to make the first move, right?
And to await your inspiring starlight!
