Middle Ground

Age Group: Adult
Disagreement is surely what it is,
But perhaps it's also more;
When willingness to care exists,
It creates opportunities to explore.
To work together as a team
And when everyone does their part,
Negotiations work, and it would seem
Accomplishment becomes an art.
Finally when all is said and done
And the hardest part has passed,
It feels good that everyone has won
And agreement is achieved at last.
Author's Notes: Inspired by each time when my sweetheart and I disagree on something. Once we agree that we never stopped caring, we are able to work through it. It's a wonderful thing to know that disagreements do not happen because two people don't love each other. It just happens because each person is an individual. If there weren't any diversity, no one would have any fair standard with which to measure the love in their heart for others who are different.
