Overcoming Worry

What is worry anyway
But that which strangles a thought,
Grasped by the throat
With teeth remote
To lacerate and watch it rot?
Why does worry exist
Assaulting one's anxiety,
Distress acute
To persecute
Defiant of all piety?
If nothing is there to do
Dangling there at the end of your rope
Set your focus direct
On your wish and expect
For all else is lost without hope.
Worry is fear of unknown
Or of what might possibly be
So find out what to do
For it's all up to you,
Influencing outcome is key.
