If I Had Just One Wish

My wish inside a wooden box
Kept safe behind all seven locks
Unlocked it shines on crystal rocks
A ball of light in highest stocks
And if this wish I were to make
To make a wish, for a wish's sake
Imagining all there is at stake
What could result from one mistake
Envisioning my ball of light
Between my hands a golden white
I wish I may, I wish I might
Have this wish I wish tonight
As I'm stared down by my fat cat
I wonder where my mind is at;
Should I wish... for this, or that?
I can't decide, imagine that --
My life would change in just one blink
As sure as four and one are cinque
I stand here nervous on the brink,
Perhaps I need more time to think?
With one mistake made in the wish
The Moon's reflection in a dish
The graceful swimming of a fish
The world as we know it, gone in a swish
I think I'll take one of my walks
To buy time as the clock tick-tocks
My lighted ball back in the box
My wish kept safe with seven locks.
