Softly She Calls

Once upon a time….there was a voice that whispered to me
Softly it spoke so soft that at first it wasn’t heard
The years went on and older did I become
No longer was I a child innocent and open
Those who thought best put thoughts in my head
Thoughts that began to form how I was to be
Softly it spoke again a whisper so faint
Was I dreaming again
Where are these ideas and feelings coming from
Aside I put those thoughts and ideas
Though they seemed familiar I didn’t understand
Still more years have passed adolescence come and gone
Decisions I am to make with what I have learned
Yes or No which shall I choose
My teachers I’m sure taught me well
For they know best, don’t they
A long road ahead of me I was unaware
So many turns, hills, and dead ends was I to find
Softly I hear the voice of many years past
Who are you What do you want
This time I hear a voice speak
Is it God for then I followed Him
Why do you not speak to me now when I call
Where do you hide that I may not see
There was a feeling deep within I could not explain
Each time I questioned there were no answers
Who would leave their child when they need them most
Again I was left to find my way
Softly it spoke this time it echoes in my mind
That is not the voice of whom I follow
Who is it that calls to me from within
I can feel such a calling so strong inside
The path that I have traveled has merged
It is God that speaks but not this time
It is his Lady that has been calling to me
Yes my child it is I she said her voice like the birds
I have called to you many years before
You were unaware of my presence
Yet I have been with you from the beginning
It is for you to discover who I am
I cannot choose for you to see or hear my call
She continued to tell me of her part with her Lord
So there are two I asked as though I knew
Yes my child there has always been two
There are two parts to all that there is
And all that there is, is all part of one
A God and a Goddess each
Except one is seen as more significant that the other
NO! I yelled to my surprise as well
I shall no longer ignore your call my Lady
You are just as great as your Lord
From now on I shall honor you both equally
She smiled as she took her place by her Lord
For it is no longer shall she softly speaks
Her voice within me is loud and strong
I honor Her as I honor her Lord
Through me she speaks and to you I speak
Listen to the soft call of our Lady
She has been with us since the beginning
Let her be heard let her voice speak through you
Softly she calls to us all…….still your mind and listen
Softly she calls….listen my child I am with you
I have much to teach and much to show
Listen as I call deep within
Softly she call……to us all
