Inner World As The Outer

(First person:)
"The world is a hateful place
And the people of darkness I hear
They scheme mal-intent all around me
Acting friendly whenever they're near.
I'll cast a spell of protection
But I'll send an attack their way
The world is a hateful place
Full of darkness and evil to stay.
I cannot trust even one person
For no one is truly a friend
They pretend they are not against me
But they'll stab my back in the end."
(Second person:)
"...That may very well be true, for you,
But for me happiness seems so clear
For truth and reality are subjective
And I choose not to live life in fear.
My heart and mind are so open
I believe goodness is pure deep within
We all make mistakes and have hard times
In the end we'll come out with a grin.
I just cannot fathom your lifestyle
Living daily on negative terms
And so dear, that's why no one likes you,
Perhaps you should go eat some worms."
Author's Notes: Always take care of the inside, and the outside will take care of itself. This poem is not about physical appearance, it is about how a person percieves reality. You don't have to be a psychic to sense the attitude of how some people live their life. In most cases, there is good reason for a person to percieve reality in a negative fashion. But when it lasts an entire lifetime, it could be a good indication that inner adjustments need to be made before outer adjustments will do any good.
