Song of the Heart

My heartsong still sings
After all of this time,
And for each loving verse
Is the sweetness of rhyme
A structure of "us"
On our day to begin
This mutual love lives
From without and within
Having shared the same life
Many lifetimes ago
Expectations fulfilled
Once more sharing to grow
Truly knowing ourselves
Watching our dreams come true
Comforting, peaceful thoughts
Shared between me and you
Savoring moment by moment
Cherish each minute of time
Love is easy for once
A gentle uphill climb
Our moment came long ago
Exhaling worries to above
Gently closing my eyes,
Moving toward your love.

The poetic concept of having so much trust that I am able to "close my eyes and move toward love" was a concept I came up with that appears both here and in "Emotions" as well, and it really describes a type of trust that began a year ago just before mid-July 2004, when I met my sweetheart for the first time.
They say that when you are least looking for love is when you will find it. For me, it was true because I was in such a bad state of mind back then from a negative experience, that I was in no mood whatsoever to seek out a relationship.
I asked my personal Divine Source to help me get through a much-needed healing process. Exactly eight days later, I met my sweetheart. I am utterly astounded that I was able to know that it was okay to let my guards down upon meeting my sweetheart, because every last one of them was up full force at that time in my life.
And now after all this time, I am awaiting a wonderful first anniversary. Time to break out the wine glasses! No wait, we always have wine... maybe a really good bottle of champagne? We will be out of town having fun on a much-needed vacation, I bet we will decide together at that time. ;-)
