My Precious Little Bauble

I have a little bauble
Given to me by my aunt,
It's lovely and so curious
But describe it, I just can't
A truly novel knickknack,
A distinctive rarity,
Eccentric is this bric-a-brac
Not explained with clarity
I'd show off this gaudy gaud
Or even wear it as a bangle,
But this whatnot is so odd
I can't determine its best angle
A tenuous tenuity
An idiosyncratic gewgaw
A miscellaneous curio
If ever one you saw
An oddment sitting, waiting,
To take part as my fallal,
Peculiar is as peculiar does --
How it causes me to stall!
But one day I shall wear it
As spectators give me a quiz,
But nothing with which to compare it
For I don't know what it is...
So I'll say that it is lovely
But describe it I just can't;
It's my precious little bauble
Given to me by my aunt.
