When A Witch Cries, Part 2

Age Group: Adult
In the darkness of a midnight sky
Where no creature made even a sound
A tiny sparkle had caught my eye
From a diamond there on the ground
And as I offered my hand
To its beaming refractive detail
I found there were more near the first
As to beckon me onto a trail
No moonlight beamed out an array
Only darkness above the vast land
Tiny sparkles to show me the way
Holding each one I found in my hand
Hearing distant, faint sounds of sadness
I knew you were so very near
As the shimmering trail grew thicker
Formed by many a diamond tear
I showed you my vast collection
Of the trail of diamonds I found,
The teardrops that fell as you cried
Sparkling quietly there on the ground
I wondered who else sees the darkness
Each time that a saddened Witch cries
For only a Witch in her sorrow
Cries starry tears down from the skies...
...
I'll comfort you here in my arms
As we await morning Sun, and then --
Together we'll take all these diamonds
And turn them to stars once again.
We'll soar high above in the sky
Away from it all, you and me
And tonight we'll see stars shining bright
Yes we will, just you wait and see!
