Only Human

Tonight a friend asked me
"Why can't I find love true,
Tell me why can't I find someone
Someone just like you?"
But I asked sincerely
What is wrong with you?
And tonight someone asked me
What I just might do,
"Tell me why are so many
So maligned and blue?"
So I asked them sincerely
What is wrong with you?
And I sat there thinking
Why are my friends blue
Wondering why they're thinking
They've not found love true
I just can't help asking,
What is wrong with you?
Tonight I told them
That they found a love true
And that they've found someone
Who can love them too
Here I am ! dear friends of mine,
What is wrong with you?
And tonight I told them
Look within like I do,
And to stop all the judging
And accept them too,
Because that's what I do,
What is wrong with you?
But I sit here thinking
Why my friends are blue
Wondering why they're thinking
They've not found a love true
I've been here the whole time,
What is wrong with you?
And I think of my failures
And mistakes I've gone through
And wonder where was I
When they needed me too?
I have failed, asking myself:
What is wrong with you?
For it's hard in my position
They believe to be true
They were there when I needed
When I needed them too
I suppose it's my fault...
What am I to do?
So to Hell with my efforts,
And to Hell with my pride
Where was I, when they needed
Me there by their side?
So I look in the mirror,
And say,
What is wrong with you?
But I ask their forgiveness
And it's there to take
They all still seem to love me
When I make a mistake
I am just like they are...
I am human too
I tried best I could
It was all I could do.
My best wasn't the best
It was all I could do
I'm like everyone else,
I am human too.
