An Angel for One Night

Age Group: Adult
Tonight someone called me an angel
And I blushed to believe it was true
Besides being civil and polite
I wondered, what did I do?
Just because I believe in courtesy
And I treat people with due respect
And treat humans as if they were humans
And cringe at the thought of neglect
Tonight someone called me an angel
Without seeing the traits that I lack
Still I smile for one cherished moment
Thinking once I am on the right track.
