Love Like Never Before

You said that you love me
And I once asked what for?
I did nothing to deserve it
Shielding my inner core
You continued to say it
And it caused me to grin
But then I could not say it
With such fear held within
Then one day I just knew
If I want love that's pure
I need to make up my mind
And to be very sure
Just to simply let love
Be there just to recieve
It's all so simple now
Just to simply believe
Through the hard times you stayed
So I showed you my core
My risks were delayed
But I now know what for:
I gave challenges to earn
I denied what was true
Allowed myself to learn
That I only love you...
I made things so rough
Things you just took in stride
Now I've called my own bluff
Feeling love deep inside
You said that you love me
And I once asked what for?
You believed I deserved it --
Love like never before
So I sit here in awe
Of this love to explore
You believed in just "me"
Love like never before.
