Charge for Full Moon, 20 August 2005

by Thomas Harris
 Age Group: Adult

Lady of Three Forms, of a Thousand Forms, we gather to do Thee obesiance. By flood of pow'r is She known in time of fullness of the silvery orb and when Her face is hidden by the dark shawl of dignity. Lady more pale than alabaster, we greet Thee in this present hour. Wave of upsurgence, grant us joy and empower us, Thou Administratrix of Earth, Sky and Sea. Wisp of smoke and rain of mist, blessings are ushered from Your fingertips. Grace proceeds from You, Most Wonderful.
Undoiong of the Unaware, the beseiging of the Unprepared, it surely comes. Bitter are the lips of the two-hearted. Theirs is a thirst that cannot be quenched. Still, broken hearts shall be mended and hearts shall be harmed alike of lovers entwined, embodying and conforming to one another. In all, see the fruits of labor, fruits of love, given to the storehouse [as] a food.
Theirs is the most frugal of actions, no word is mis-spoken and no action mis-done. While the interpretation and implementation are ours, the origin and intent is Theirs. Where we may deal with imperfect circumstance, Theirs is the Perfect Cause, well laid out on the World Tree and only awaiting the manifestation of all things. It cannot be less. To our eyes this is all a maze, imperfectly understood, however perfect its true Nature. We cannot begin to understand Their perfect state. We must do what we may with both what we are given in circumstance and what we consider to be True. We do not operate with Their understanding, but with what we ourselves have come to understand. Such is it with all who wouldst follow Their leading.
The Tradition we represent requires of us both excellence and labor. It requires involvement in the community, not just visitation and presence. It requires that we produce according to the Nature we [both] represent and teach, for without manifestation of the Truth we represent, we commit folly and are ineffective stewards of the Old Ones. The answer to our ills does not begin outside of our influence, but from the fruit of our common labor.
Perish not, O Children, for the time is not yet. Let not your hearts be taken with worries and cares, for She weaves hope into the tapestry of all things. She burns with Light which issues from an almond blossom and Her oil is thrice virgin and Her incense is both great and glorious. Though all men often seek folly, Hers is the place of remembrance and a memorial both of yesterday and tomorrow.
Horde-broken! Raiders have beseiged thee by numbers and numbers, and how oft you have been forced to bend the knee to the Oppressor. Much has been thrown onto the mountain of your labor and, oh, it has been a thankless task! But know this: your labor is not in vain. O Serving Ones! They see your labor, even when those around about you seem to be so blind, and They keep the knowledge of your doings for a report unto a day of recompense, for such a day shall surely come. In that hour they shall say: "The ravaging has stopped, enter a short peace while you may, for after a short while it shall begin again." Whole lands shall reap harvest, reap the benefits of labor in the time of resting. Put back against the days of scarcity so that the Children may not be needy, that parents not need to voice their woes. For the sake of the storehouse, put back so that there may not be much lack.
Beware the loss of giving a faithful witness by mis-slips of the tongue, for you never know who may be listening in our momentary weakness. Questioning of the righteous because of the self-righteous. Markers shall be seen on account of the doings of all, and things shall be revealed. Verifiable by sight, words of the prophets that touched sore ears, both for good and ill, establish the Path for the sake of the Truth it speaks. Notions of idolatry shall crumble as Truth reinstates itself. No image shall compare to the coming understanding. Wisdom given for sake of Truth! There is no questioning of things known for sure. Sun Prince! Route taken by the shining sun and recalled lest the rays which illumine us be forgotten. There is no new search for the Path well trodden.
Three keys to open a blessing: key of heart, key of labor, key of determination. This is Their blessing unto you: that all come to see the fruit of your labor in the day of recompense.
