To Kill Myself

To kill myself
A thought absurd
I've lived for way too long
I've known the pain
Of life to live
But now I'm going strong
To kill myself
When times are hard
One step before a mile
The end to reach
Is what I preach
It's only for a while
To kill myself
When I don't know
The things life has in store
But having lived
These extra years
I know there's always more
To kill myself
Because I think
No one in this world cares
And then to show
Love to myself
Absorbing foes' shocked stares
To kill myself
And yet to live
I have been through it all
There's nothing left
To faze me now
No longer will I fall
To kill myself
A passing thought
A thought that's just a lie
I've lived enough
And now I know
I'm just too young to die
To kill myself
Oh no I won't
I've way too much to give
No longer will
I kill myself
I'm strong enough to live
To kill myself
Just try me now
I'm not the one who's dead
And if those folks
Don't straighten up
Then they can die instead!
Author's Notes: Of course, I'm talking about those folks who wanted me to die because they thought I wasn't good enough. Let them suffer in their own misery of not being able to change me. And in the meantime, I'll just go on living the way that I choose. If they want to get their panties in a wad, it has nothing to do with me. That was, of course, Gay jargon. It has nothing to do with gender. It's just a way of saying that if they want to be all wound up about something that they don't have any control over, then let them. This is MY life. Too bad for them, eh? :-)
