Goddess Praise

Energy to energy
swirling up inside of me
I have the urge that’s bidding me
To live free and run wild
The electricity is using me
the Goddess is now choosing me
fulfilling and enthusing me
magically reborn her child
Open fully are my eyes
Directed now towards the skies
Where all earthly wisdom lies
fantastic and profound
Goddess took me by the hand
And somewhere ‘tween the sky and land
akin to lovers, danced there and
Brought forth the circle round
The path now clear, my journey set
This date I’m sure I won’t forget
To higher powers I owe a debt
For this potent evocation
For guiding me along my way
To Her I’ll give thanks everyday
This debt I will make sure to pay
With reverent adoration
Author's Notes: A storm had come through. The wind was galeforce and lightning streaked constantly across the sky. I used to be afraid of thunderstorms but this night I recognized them for something powerful, something potent, and this poem came to me as I lay on the ground watching the spectacular show play out above me.
