A Mother's Love (or lack thereof)

Striving for peace
within the world, within
my family, my life
Yuletide comes again and
as always
an emptiness creeps in,
a distance between
Her.........Me
Should I tell?
Every year, the same dilemma
She no longer feels pride
for her flesh
her blood
her child; forgotten, lost, disowned
Purposefully
Intentionally
She created this distance
I have ever tried to fill
with
pretty lies
half truths
loving charades and
a persona she might take to heart
but no
NO
It ends now
this last year of falsehoods
She will know the true me
come January 1st
Author's Notes: I have been toying recently with the idea of telling my mother everything about who I have become.
Bisexual, Polyamouros, Pagan
Engaged to be married next year
No longer continuing college
in hopes of opening an Occult Bookstore in Norman.
