Into Me

Morning rays glisten
casting beams crimson
on the bedroom wall
as I blink away sleep
and open my eyes to
the new day
the new dawn
taking in the shifting
patterns
the soft, warm glow
of sunrise over frosted trees
spilling through my window
into my room
into my heart
Author's Notes: I usually don't wake up so early as I did this day...watching the sun rise slowly, the light playing across my bedroom wall in red dappled patterns formed by my curtains, it was inspiring at the time.
