Silent Conversations

Silent conversations in the mind
Assessing all the need,
Recalling all that's left behind
To plan the future's heed.
Creations made for new designs
Abstractions solved with ease
Attention outward to protect
And inward to appease.
No time to spend on other things
That may not be essential
Maintaining now, envisioning more
Arranging goals sequential.
Empowered are the memories
Of personal relevance,
As if they were like batteries
Charged by perceived importance.
In need of shielding is the mind
Through parts along the quest,
With all the input shunted void
In times of conscious rest.
Withdrawing back into the mind
Preparing to proceed,
Recalling all that's left behind
To plan the future's heed.
