Innately Different

Age Group: Adult
To be innately different
Is to be self-aware
A vision quest perpetual
That most don't know is there
Innately different from most
The reason for this quest
For constant introspection
Unknown to all the rest
A broader understanding
Of life is the result
For those who fit right in
Would label as occult
To be innately different
Among those who relate
It is to understand
All differences innate.
Author's Notes: Dedicated first and foremost to Gay people (and even Bi people as well) , whose innate differences from mainstream society has caused a natural and internal evolution of enlightned understanding of life and love and spirituality that most others need to put conscious effort into learning; and secondly, to anyone else who has always known they were different than most, and always will be, whether physically, emotionally or spiritually, because the end result of a natural and perpetual enlightenment is still the same.
