I Wished For You, Part 2

Oh it is too much
What I went through tonight
A never-spoken spell
My mind's sensing something right
As if 'twas always there
From birth to my life's end
I don't know why it worked
But I have found a friend
Not just a new acquaintance
Nor is it a twist of fate
Nor a random quirk of chance
Nor a fantasy as of late
And yet I must find out
Where this friendship will lead
I don't know why I know
This new friend is a friend indeed
For now it is too much
What I went though tonight
Such mysteries left to live
And somehow, I know I'm right.
Author's Notes: You know how you feel when you've always wanted something, but grew to believe it wasn't all that realistic?
Well, I know that feeling. And I also know that things happen that I myself am not wholly responsible for -- it's so strange. Something beyond my ken has happened this evening, it couldn't have been solely my own doing. Friends are everywhere... but sometimes, you "just know" when you've met a friend for life.
Wish me luck. The future has yet to unfold. It's not too good to be true, but for once it's just too good to believe. It's like, for once, I called out and didn't have to leave a message. :-D We'll see, only time will tell.
