Sleep Disorder

I simply could not sleep last night,
I twisted, turned and tossed;
Though not a single thing was wrong
My rest last night was lost.
My pillow said the wrongest thing
And we got in a fight;
Then other pillows joined the ring
And kept me up all night.
The sheet kept acting like a ghost
Making many a spooky sound;
But what I did dislike the most
Was that it flew around.
The matress ain't supposed to fold
But it did not stay flat;
The situation soon was old
In that Venus-matress-trap.
And as if that were not enough
The lamp was also wise;
I closed my eyes to call its bluff,
It turned back on, surprise!
Of course the pillow and the sheet,
And things around my bed --
Were silent, never made a peep,
'Twas all just in my head.
Though not a single thing was wrong,
Still nothing was quite right;
And now today will last too long,
Perhaps I'll sleep tonight.
