Balance

They say that balance
Occurs in all things,
Darkest shadows from brightest lights shine;
Flip over the coin
Reversed sameness it brings,
Light and dark soul resides here in mine.
Stationarily turn
Icy hotness, freezeburn
Warming sun on a cold winter day;
Father Sky, Mother Earth
Endless death and rebirth
Meaning found, in nothing to say.
Agreeing to disagree,
Captivated yet free,
Deaf'ning silence, hind sight and dried tear;
Self-esteem without praise
Living dream, thoughtful craze
Curiosity, balanced by fear.
