When to Let People Be

Age Group: Adult
One question I have
Philosophical, of course
It is, if we let in all the light --
Why should we avoid
The balancing act,
To resist the darkness with a fight?
And again I shall ask
Philosophical, of course
Why the dark is all that some see?
If it's all they let in
It must make them grin
Perhaps they want not light to be.
And again I shall ask
Philosophical, of course
Why we try to make all of them change?
Healing art is one thing
But one's life is their own
Let them live it, no matter how strange.
