My Death Has No Meaning©

I lie in deathly slumber
No breath escapes my body
My heart beats not
I do not move; as still as if I were made of marble
I cannot love
I cannot feel
I cannot touch
I cannot taste
I am imprisoned in this cocoon
This cask of unlife
Immune to the chaos surrounding me
Unapproachable, because I do not live
So cold
So very cold
My blood frozen
I live not
Why?
What cataclysm befell me?
What illness did I acquire?
What halted my heart?
I cannot voice my own questions,
Even though she knows the answers
Because of this,
My death has no meaning
