I am a Father.

Age Group: Adult
I am a Father.
In this current world, that is strange, is it not?
No.
I love my children.
Despite what they say to me, out of fear or anger.
Or how they feel towards decisions I make for them, or on their behalf.
Why?
Children can say such hurtful things, that is true.
However, a Father must look beyond the here and now, and towards the future.
Children must be molded into responsible adults.
They are the clay of what has yet, not come to pass.
Play with them.
Teach them.
Love them.
That is the role of a Father.
I AM a Father.
I have love for my children.
I want only what is best for them.
To protect them.
To make sacrifices for them. Even if it is the ultimate sacrifice.
I do not make popular decisions all the time.
I do not always give in to their wishes, wants, or desires.
I discipline them and, when necessary, I punish them.
Why?
I love my children.
No matter what was, what is, or what will be.
I am a Father.
