How Little Do They Know

Where am I going?
It is so confusing.
Once my life was orderly, calm, serene.
Things I most treasured.
I filled it with love, peace, and strength.
Alas.
Though my defenses were working,
they were breached.
Destroyed from within.
Wrecked into a funeral pyre.
Why?
What was so hideous in that eden of my heart?
What was so grotesque; That my personna changed forever?
I realize now, my mistake.
Instead of receiving a gift of love;
I received a weapon of mass destruction.
I become hardened, and callous.
Nothing affects me any longer.
I cry, I scream, I rage.....
For I am looked upon as the failure.
How little do they know.
