MOON, SHINING BRIGHTLY IN THE NIGHT.
YOU LEND US LIGHT IN DARKNESS.
YOUR PHASES, GAVE OUR ANCESTORS CYCLES FOR PLANTING CROPS OR PREPARING FOR CHANGES IN THE SEASONS.
YOU ARE THE SUBJECT OF MYTHOS, RELIGIONS, AND OF WRITERS.
YOU GIVE LOVERS A FEELING OF ROMANCE.
YOU AFFECT THE TIDAL FORCES UPON THIS WORLD.
YOU ECLIPSE THE SUN, AND CAUSE US TO WONDER IN AWE.
YET YOU ARE LIFELESS, POCKMARKED, AND EMPTY.
MAN HAS STRETCHED OUT HIS HAND, AND TOUCHED YOUR FACE.
YOU DO NOTHING, YET YOU AFFECT MANKIND IN WAYS THAT ARE MYSTICAL IN NATURE.
YOU ARE A SHINING BEACON UPON THIS EARTH.
AND, AS LONG AS MAN WALKS THE FACE OF THIS HABITAT, YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A FACE TURN UP,
AND WONDER AT YOUR BEAUTY.
