A Binding of my Soul.

Age Group: Adult
My soul is bound to my duties. From them, I cannot waiver. I cannot fail.
I must not, cannot, and will not, give in to the desires of my heart. Despite what reassurances it whispers to me.
My desires must take second place, to those items that manifest themselves to me daily.
Yet my heart, and soul, scream for justice.
The foulness of this world, would destroy, utterly, my life without a second thought.
The insanity of a normal life, muffles and gags my voice.
People, of the worst sort, backstab and toil at ruining my innermost thoughts and my labors of compassion.
Where is the justice? Where is the decency? Where is the mercy? Where is the compassion?
Not here. Not now.
For this world spins an evil web for a single purpose; a binding of my soul.
