INNOCENCE LOST, THE AGE OF CHILDREN

INNOCENCE LOST,
THE AGE OF CHILDREN.©
A long time ago,
When innocence was pure,
Curiosity was honest,
And laughter contained no malice.
Idyllic times, idyllic moments,
When the age of children was pure,
Even though tragedies abounded,
Children were circumspect from its
energy.
What happened to the age of children?
What happened to innocence?
What happened to morality?
What happened to purity?
It was lost.
Lost in that unfathomable pit of
blackness,
Swept away by the winds of change.
It decayed as an ancient corpse.
And never was allowed to see the
light again.
Now, just as with adults, children
are not protected from evil.
Now, children are exposed to
moral depravity.
They see the tragedies.
They see the omens of things to
come.
Yet, no one is willing to end the
strife.
No one is willing to help end the
suffering.
No one is willing to put aside petty
arguments.
For the sake of the children, no
one exists to stem the flow.
Grieve for them. Weep for them.
If you do nothing at all to help, do this.
If you do nothing to try to end
the clutch of man and woman’s stench,
This, at least, do for them.
For we are ushering in a new child.
Without morals, without ethics, without goodness.
And they will beget a new race even more depraved.
And those of us unwilling to
concede the battle will be
destroyed by their sheer weight.
