SHADOW DANCING

I AM HERE. ALONE, YET NOT ALONE.
I FEEL ONLY MY PHYSICAL FORM, BUT I KNOW ANOTHER FORM MOVES IN THE SHADOWS.
I FEEL IT, SEE IT, SENSE IT, AND HEAR IT.
YET IT, IS NOT AN IT.
IT IS HER.
SHE HAS COME FOR ME.
LITHE, AGILE, GRACEFUL, PETITE, AND BEAUTIFUL.
I HEAR HER VOICE, AND I AM AT PEACE.
MY TEMPESTS ABATE TO MERE WISPS OF MEMORY.
HER VOICE CARESSES ME LIKE FINE LINEN, AND MAKES MY HEART SKIP BEATS.
WHEN SHE SMILES; I FEEL A SWORD PIERCE MY HEART.
IMPALED AS I AM, I AM DELIRIOUS WITH RAPTURE.
I TURN TOWARD HER...
THE FIRE WITHIN ME CASTS OUR SHADOWS UPON THE WALL.
WE EMBRACE TENDERLY, ALMOST AS IF WE ARE BOTH AFRAID THAT THE OTHER MIGHT SHATTER.
OUR SHADOWS MERGE AND TOUCH, CARESS AND EXPLORE.
WE BEGIN TO MOVE, IN A DANCE.
A SLOW ONE, FOR I WISH NOT FOR THIS MOMENT TO END.
SWAYING TO MUSIC ONLY WE CAN HEAR,
WE CLING TO EACH OTHER.
TEARS ROLL DOWN MY CHEEKS, AS I SEE MY FORM AND HERS,
KISS EVER SO GENTLY, AS WE DANCE.
SHADOW DANCING,
HOW I AM HAPPY TO HEAR HER VOICE,
AS WE DANCE SLOWLY IN
LIGHT AND SHADOW FOR NOW.
