Dreams

Once there was a worm
Ingenious as he was
Each wiggle and each squirm
And all an inchworm does
Curled tightly in a coil
Then stretching long and thin
Holes dug into the soil
And flowers to hide in
A clumsy, inching pace
To get from here to there
While dreaming of a place
Viewed only from the air
"Why do I have such dreams
Of flying through the sky?
I'm earthbound as it seems,
The inchworm that am I."
